Social & Corporate Responsibility

O’Donnell Solicitors is committed to it’s social and corporate responsibility and endeavours to do so in a number of ways.

We are a firm which is keen to assist in the community not just by delivering high quality legal advice but also to build, nurture and retain long lasting relationships with other groups and charities within the area and also nationally. Our objective is to assist charities where possible in organising and taking part in events which raise money and awareness of worthy causes and the invaluable work which charities and other similar groups do.

Every year O’Donnell Solicitors supports a charity or a number of charities to work with in addition to offering general help and assistance to local groups and clubs where possible.

In 2016 O’Donnell Solicitors raised money for The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity and Ronald McDonald House and throughout 2017 O’Donnell Solicitors raised money for the charity ‘Maggie’s’. We would like to thank you for joining us in supporting these worthy charities.tot-final-2Throughout 2018 we are pleased to announce that our charity of the year is Mahdlo Youth Zone which is a registered charity in the heart of Oldham and which supports and works alongside 8-19 years olds, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.

Mahdlo first opened its doors in 2012 and has since that time come alongside young people from a diverse range of backgrounds to offer support and affordable quality facilities dedicated to young people.

The team at O’Donnell Solicitors will be taking part in various events throughout the year to raise money and awareness of Mahdlo and we are sure you will agree that this is a worthy cause. Following the challenge and achievement of the Tour of Tameside in 2017 which James, Anthony and Suzzanne took part in, this year more of the team are stepping up and getting their running boots on. The team at O’Donnell Solicitors will be taking part in the gruelling Tour of Tameside in June this year, with James, Anthony, Suzzanne and Claire K running the full 4 days and Rebecca, Claire E and Louise joining for the Dr Ron 7 on the final day.

The event sees entrants run Stage 1 the ‘X-Trail 10K on Thursday 14 June in Daisy Nook and Park Bridge Country Parks before moving onto Stage 2, on Friday evening, at the infamous ‘Hell on the Fell’ in Copley.

Stage 3 is Saturday morning where runners will take on the 13.1 mile ‘Hero Half Marathon’ down the Longendale Trail before the final day, Stage 4 on Sunday 17 June where the Tour finishes with the classic ‘Dr Ron 7’ – a seven-mile road run where many friends and family will line the route to welcome the competitors home.
